Singham Returns crosses Rs 50 crore

With an Independence Day release, SINGHAM RETURNS touches on everyday aspects in a politically correct manner. You have 'night riders' on bikes not being arrested by Bajirao Singham because he understands, once they get into prison, they become hardened criminals. It's best to keep them out, he feels. There's also a talk on how they should use their energies for the nation rather than wasting their teen years. Starring Ajay Devgn as a police inspector, the movie seems to be on its way to becoming a blockbuster just like “Singhamâ that released in 2011. Directed by Rohit Shetty, it also stars Kareena Kapoor. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh says it has done “excellentâ business. “#SinghamReturns witnesses EXCELLENT trending on Day 2. Crosses *Week 1* biz (Rs. 51.25 cr) of #Singham in just *2 days*,â he tweeted. The film is co-produced by Ajay Devgn Films, Rohit Shetty Productions and Reliance Entertainment.
