Michelangelo and his gang are expected to paint a box-office masterpiece this weekend with the return of popular franchise "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles."The Michael Bay-produced film is expected to open with a solid $50 million in ticket sales through Sunday in the U.S. and Canada, putting it in a tight race for No. 1 with last weekend's box office winner, "Guardians of the Galaxy," according to people who have seen pre-release audience surveys. The Marvel comic book flick starring Chris Pratt is likely to take in $40 million to $45 million during its second weekend in theaters. None of the other films debuting this weekend are expected to attract nearly as many moviegoers.

Govinda says no to film with Alia Bhatt

Putting an end to all speculations of a film starring actor Govinda and Alia Bhatt as father and daughter respectively, it has now been reported that Govinda has apparently turned down the film. Director Vikas Bahl of Queen fame was planning on bringing to the screen yesteryear superstar Govinda playing father to a cool and vibrant Alia.he film has been tentatively titled 'Shaandar'. While reasons for Govinda backing out of the project range from apparent financial disagreements to prior commitments, neither the actor nor director have given out a formal announcement. The film starring Alia Bhatt and Shahid Kapoor is Vikas Bahl's second film after Queen and will be shot extensively in Europe.

Kareena Kapoor and Salman Khan's next 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' is about a Brahmin girl and Muslim boy, but the former says that it has no correlation with her personal life.

"The film is going on floors in October. It's a story of a Muslim guy and Brahmin girl. It's got nothing do with my personal life, but it's a beautiful human story," Kareena, who is married to Saif Ali Khan, told IANS.
